The People's Friendship University was established on February 5, 1960, in accordance with the decision of the Soviet government. On February 5, 1992, according to the decision of the Russian government, the school was renamed as the Russian People's Friendship University.

The School of Medicine of the People's Friendship University of Russia trains medical and pharmaceutical workers in various major fields.
Students receive practical training and training in clinical disciplines in over 170 public and private clinics. By teaching patient supervision, modern diagnostic methods, and professional communication, the college cultivates high-quality doctors of international level.
